More petition signatures and signing sessions

The campaign launch in Woodley has been followed by a session collecting signatures in Twyford. Excellent turnout from the campaign, and from local people, who were keen to sign. Got lots of thumbs ups from people driving by who saw our Save our Libraries signs.

Coming up: this Saturday, 25th June, we will be collected signatures in Wargrave between 11.30 and 12.30 pm. If you are around, come and join in!

  1. I was just wondering, is this campaign being run as a non-partisan venture? I understand that it is naturally against the Conservative administration responsible for the privatisation proposals, but who is responsible for running it?

  2. The campaign is being run and managed by volunteers, primarily Rachelle Shepherd-Dubey and Anthony Vick, but there are many others committing their energy and time collecting signatures across Wokingham. Everyone is welcome, regardless of political colour or belief. We simply want Wokingham Borough Council's executive to reconsider its position and not privatise/outsource/sell our library service.
